BUILDING A BRIGHTER KETCHIKAN TOGETHER

Our mission is to strengthen our community by identifying local needs and delivering coordinated action that improves the quality of life for all residents of Ketchikan, Alaska.

Ketchikan Wellness Coalition is supported by a talented staff, countless local volunteers, a dedicated governing board of professionals, and a network of strong business partnerships.

Our primary focus is supporting initiatives that address all eight dimensions of community wellness — social, intellectual, financial, environmental, emotional, physical, spiritual, and occupational — represented by the colorful pinwheel in our logo.

Through its long-standing, proven community task forces, Ketchikan Wellness Coalition works to strengthen existing partnerships. We draw on the skills, knowledge, and assets of community members, organizations, businesses, and government to build capacity and improve outcomes on key issues affecting Ketchikan and its residents.

KWC also provides outreach programs addressing mental health, substance use prevention, recidivism, environmental protection, nutrition, health equity, physical wellness, and literacy.
